Who we work with

Different owners, different buildings, one shared question

Whether a building belongs to a city, a private investor or a small cooperative, the same question tends to open every project: how much of what's here can still be useful, and how do we make room for that within a workable budget and timeline?

Municipalities & Heritage Offices

Local authorities often hold vacant industrial buildings that carry both civic value and maintenance cost. We support feasibility studies and public-facing proposals that weigh heritage protection alongside genuine, everyday use for residents.

Private Developers & Investors

For developers, adaptive reuse can shorten certain approval paths and offer a distinct character that new-build construction struggles to match. We help assess structural risk early so investment decisions rest on solid information.

Cultural Institutions & Nonprofits

Galleries, archives and community organisations frequently need generous, unusual volumes that older industrial buildings already provide. We work within tighter budgets typical of this sector, phasing work where needed.

Small Business Owners & Cooperatives

Workshops, breweries and studio collectives often approach us directly about a single building. These projects tend to move faster, with owners closely involved in decisions about materials and layout from the start.

Residential Communities

Some of our most rewarding work has involved converting former industrial buildings into housing cooperatives, where future residents are consulted throughout design so the finished building reflects how people actually intend to live there.

How we begin

A conversation before a contract

Most collaborations start with an unhurried site visit rather than a formal proposal. We want to understand what drew you to the building in the first place, what constraints you are working within, and what timeline feels realistic. That first conversation shapes everything that follows.

Some clients arrive with a building already secured and need help imagining its future. Others come to us mid-search, wanting a second opinion on whether a structure is worth pursuing at all. Both starting points are welcome.
